Planning starts now! ... but we need your input on what to plan!
We know that many folks could not attend our 50th in 2021 because of COVID. Hopefully, no disasters (natural or man-made) will affect our 55th, and you will be able to attend the 55th!
To refresh your memory, in 2021 we had a 3-day event.
Friday night, a Meet & Greet at Cadillac Bar. Included food & drinks and cost us $3,000; tickets were $35/person.
Saturday day - we had a tour of the newly built Bellaire HS campus for $5/person.
Saturday night, a fancier event at Westin Hotel in the Galleria, complete with food, drink, DJ, photo-booth, lighting, etc. Cost us $20,000 & tickets were $100/person.
Sunday day - a brunch event at Jax Grill - Cost us $0 & we charged $0/person. Folks bought their own food & drinks at Jax.
So, what would you like to do for 2026? Many folks enjoyed the Cadillac event as much or more than the Westin event .. especially for the money! Others did not.
So please help us plan the event that you want, by answering the questions below. Most folks who attended events stressed the fact that they wanted to talk to their classmates & music should be in the background. Other folks enjoyed loud dance music. Leave comments where appropriate.
Would you like to be on the Planning Committee to help plan the 55th? You don't have to be in Houston to help, just the desire & willingness to help out. Finding "lost" classmates is our biggest challenge and we need lots of help there!

Our 50th was held on a Friday, Saturday & Sunday on October 15, 16 & 17 of 2021. We are looking at mid-October again because (usually) the weather is cooler. In 2026, that would be October 16, 17, 18. How does that sound? Or would you prefer doing it during the week? Most of us are retired, or should be by 2026!

In 2021, BHS had a new campus but was still under construction. We had a tour on Saturday during the day, complete with tour guides & met some of the current teachers. Would you be interested in touring the now completed, new campus of Bellaire High School for $5/per person?

Some classmates have mentioned they prefer not to drive at night. As a 74 / 75 year old in 2026, would you prefer daytime events? We could do events each day from around noon - 6 pm or so. This would leave your evenings free to do anything else you would like to do (nap, party, dance, drink, etc.) We also understand there are options like Uber, Lyft, taxis.. to alleviate the need for driving.

Again, in 2021 we had Cadillac on a Friday - a casual Tex-Mex party room.
Saturday was a fancier hotel ballroom in the Galleria.

Would you like to include a venue outside of Houston? Some classmates suggested going to South Shore Harbor, about 30 miles south of Houston toward Galveston. Would probably be on either a Friday or Saturday. Could include a cruise on Clear Lake or Galveston Bay. Costs to be determined.

One of our biggest challenges is trying to locate fellow classmates from our class. Would you be willing to try to locate 10 - 15 folks? We can give you the names .. or you can look for names on the missing classmate list (right column on home page of website)
