Larry A. Marks

LARRY ALAN MARKS, 57, born in Houston on February 4, 1953 and passed away on Saturday March 20, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Hallene Marks. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife and closest companion, Beverley Marks and devoted children Shayna and Benjamin Finn. He came into their lives for an all too brief 16 years and will be sorely missed forever.

He also leaves behind his loving family including siblings Marilyn (Marks) and Jay Smolensky, Jerry Marks; in-laws Martin and Mavis Minuck; nieces and nephews Joey, Scott and Stacy Smolensky and Michael & Erin, Erin and Daniel Minuck in addition to many cousins, aunts and uncles from across Texas, California, Canada, Washington and Israel.

He will be sorely missed by his childhood and college friends that he always stayed in touch with as well as more recent relationships.Larry was born in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas Austin with a BBA. His love for business led him to a successful career in the field of Commercial Real Estate spending the last fifteen years with the Betz Companies. He was so highly regarded for his integrity and skill by his coworkers and clients that many came to regard him as a close friend and lunch buddy.

Larry will always be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, his humor, his love of music, his Maltese Misha and great food. Outside of work he enjoyed creating great music CDs for himself and others, eating out and taking vacations with his wife.The family would like to thank the many incredible medical professionals that were encountered over the last five months at the Medical Clinic of Houston, Nephrology Associates, Methodist Hospital, especially the eighth floor staff as well as many others that helped with this undesirable journey.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
