Rhonda Fish (Janak)

Rhonda Fish (Janak)

Rhonda (Fish) Boyer Janak went to be with the Lord after a long and courageous battle with cancer on August 13, 2016. Rhonda is survived by her husband Larry Janak, mother Myrtie Fish, son James Boyer and his father Jimmy Boyer, sister Susan Sgrosso (Steve), nephew Christopher Crawford (Ashley) and grand-niece Avery Crawford. Rhonda loved and was loved by her Janak and Sgrosso extended families - in particular she loved step-grandsons Lucian and Tristan Calderon. She is preceded in death by her father Robert D. Fish and nephew Nathaniel M. Sgrosso.

Rhonda was a native Houstonian. She graduated from Bellaire High School in 1971, received her B.S. in Anthropology (Cum Laude) and M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Houston, and M.B.A. from Texas Woman’s University. Rhonda was a highly-respected environmental compliance manager Rhonda and Larry were married on Valentine’s Day 2003. They loved spending time together traveling, antiquing and attending concerts. Especially, they enjoyed their time together at their “Hay Farm” in Round Top. She was an excellent cook and prepared many memorable dinners and parties for family and friends.

She is at peace now, but for those of us who love Rhonda her passing leaves a deep emptiness in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be Steve Sgrosso, Craig Janak, Bryan Janak, Dirk Calderon, Frank Viebrock, and Hung Nguyen.
